Work methodology
Bauhinia's projects are guided by international agendas, research and traditional knowledge, with the principles of environmental conservation and social well-being. Our work is based on the 2030 Agenda, an action plan prepared by the UN. We created a methodology in which we value the experience of those who live and work in the territory. We join with local initiatives, to together create innovative solutions to social problems through environmental preservation.
Why work with sustainability together with communities?
We avoid the "TOP-DOWN" effect, in which the perspective of those who plan and execute the project is not compatible with the reality of those who will receive the projects;
We make the process more than participatory, we make the process in fact of the community;
We give visibility to initiatives and people who want to change the reality of where they live;
Valuing all types of knowledge, including experience;
Resulting in more impact and satisfaction from those who receive the social and environmental projects.
